Our Projects & Events

 

Welcome to Music for Pinellas Inc and Jock Charity — where music, community, and opportunity unite. Through our diverse programs, we bring musical experiences to children, families, schools, and neighborhoods across Pinellas County. Whether through concerts, workshops, camps, or collaboration with local artists, our goal is to cultivate creativity and connection through music.

 

Signature Events

• DTP Fest 2025 — our flagship annual festival celebrating local and emerging talent.

• Benefit concerts, seasonal showcases, and community performances.

• Partnerships with schools, recreation centers, and community organizations to bring live music into underserved areas.

 

New! Kids’ Rock & Roll Fantasy Camp & Recording Studio / Songwriting Camp

 

We are excited to launch a new raising-funds and community outreach initiative:

 

Rock & Roll Fantasy Camp

 

Open to kids and teens aged 8–17, this immersive camp lets participants step into the shoes of rock stars. Over the course of a week, they will:

• Learn instruments (guitar, bass, drums, keyboards) or vocals

• Form “bands” with fellow campers

• Rehearse, arrange, and perform a mini-concert at the end

• Participate in mentoring sessions with local musicians

 

Recording Studio & Songwriting Camp

In this companion camp, campers learn the art and craft behind the scenes:

• Basics of songwriting (lyrics, melody, structure)

• Intro to digital audio workstations (DAWs), recording techniques, mixing, and production

• Co-write songs in teams

• Record a short demo track to take home

 

We envision this as an annual or recurring offering, with proceeds supporting our regular programs and free music access for underserved youth.
